Oh what a difference a year makes! Thank you so much for your support during this last year, through our ups and downs, moving locations and all. We thought it would be fun to go back and review some of our favorite parts from month to month. Here are the highlights from January through June 2015. In January, we repurposed a dresser into an entertainment center by giving it a beautiful new painted red color and new hardware. In February, we finished a cute cottage dining room set with a white washed table top and new seat covers. By March, we had brought the antique hutch back to life with adding in glass doors, new hardware, darker stain, and added accent lights for a beautiful way to display her heirloom dinnerware. In April, we finished cleaning up the vintage secretary desk by removing damaged wood accent pieces, cleaning the hardware and painting it in a custom two toned style. By May, the antique secretary desk was being finalized. We had worked on this back in the Fall of 2014 but hadn't decided what color to finally paint it. Well, springtime, it had all new stain, was chalk painted, and drawers were lined. Isn't she a beauty?! June came by quickly with this very dramatic look for the vintage table set. Heavily distressed top with a lightly distressed base and shabby chic chairs. It is now one of our #1 selling styles. In July, we opened our doors to a new location and quickly began working on orders. The first updated piece was the lightly distressed white buffet with hutch added a nice antique touch. In August, we changed the look of the mission style entryway table with a torquoise blue base and white washed top. The customer added some wicker baskets for a quick and stylish storage option. When we hosted our soft launch in August, many of you saw the heavily distressed table and heirloom server. The table set was in the primer stage and the final painted look was in a mustard colored base with taupe chairs. The family heirloom server had a few pieces fixed and was stained darker to match the decor in its family's new home and went home in September. By October, the vintage buffet that we had for awhile, we finally had all the damanged veneer & doors removed, the top stained, and the base chalk painted. Then in November, we refinished a table set from the late 1800s/early 1900s to a new modern look with chalk paint and reupholstered seats. It arrived at the customers home just in time for their Thanksgiving dinner. December was all about holiday home decor items like Pallet Trees, Wreath Window Frames, & other fun one of a kind gifts. For pictures of these, please check our other posts. So for those that have always wanted to know who exactly refinishes the furniture and home decor items, we decided to share some of our action shots. It's definitely a team effort, as many hands make for light work. If you are interested in joining our team, please email us at [email protected]. Thanks again for your continuous support. We couldn't do it without you! Looking forward to many many more projects, challenges, antique and vintage furniture remakes.
Have a wonderful & happy new year! 🎇 Leave a Reply. |
