About the other weekend...... Video is live on Facebook The Hippie Fest in Charlotte, NC, was an amazing event! Great weather, amazingly friendly people, and great music as we celebrated peace, love, our earth, and life! Thank you to everyone that stopped by our booth! You checked out our upcycled items, refinished furniture, and even painted your own pallet signs. We appreciate your kind words of encouragement, suggestions for future upcycling projects, and we look forward to "Chic'n It" with you or for you.

Hippie Fest #wechicdit #reducereuserecycle #diy #palletsigns #hippiefest last day of #earthmonth As many of you have followed our videos on Periscope and Facebook Live, you know that during my birthday weekend, I made a spontaneous antique roadtrip. Below I've added pictures and commentary on what happened while road tripping in North Carolina. It all started with a suggestion of finding local antique shops and thrift stores along our route home on the highway. The only written down plan was to see the big highboy in High Point, everything else was going to be icing on the birthday cake. 🎉 First stop was Granddaddys in Burlington. They pride themselves on being the largest antique mall in the south. Looking from the outside, it's a little deceiving, however, once you step inside, it's amazing!!!! Rows and rows of booths that house antique furniture, trinkets, vintage clothes, accessories, and home decor items. Plus local, NC made products like jellies, BBQ sauce, upcycled items and much more! I was more than inspired to hurry back home and plan out my next trip here with my #upcyclejunkies friends. After making a few live periscope videos, making a small purchase of delicious local jelly, I decided that it was time for lunch and then realized that a diner was the only thing that they didn't have in this 2 acre facility. While planning lunch, we found a cute spot for wraps near High Point. The whole point of the trip was to see the big furniture that's literally sitting on the side of a building. Well, we made it! Too bad they weren't open. So we decided to take the scenic route through High Point and found the most amazing part of this adventure. High Point Market Week What I didn't know is that this week was specifically created for interior decorators. Since I am a business owner, I figured that I would fit right in, except without the big ID tag that the 1,000+ people were wearing. No worries, I'm already planning on attending or having our decorator attend next year. 😊 In the meantime, check out some of the furniture, home decor, & upcycle items that would fit perfectly within our store and our client's homes. This is how my face looked the entire time!!!! It was crazy! Not only did I want to rush home and start painting but I had a whole new view of how our business can grow. We we hope that you enjoyed following us on this road trip and hope you come along with us again soon.
